Sister Sue was a gift horse. A very special girl that the owners didn't really want to part with.
One Sunday I received a phone call asking if I would like her. The owners had purchased Xanadu Trick or Treat and were so impressed with her that they said they just knew she had been well handled and loved as a youngster and were looking for somewhere special for Sue.
This phone call meant so much to me and was better than any blue ribbon or trophy. It meant I was doing the right thing with my early learning programme for our babies and it was being recognised.
We went to have a look and fell in love with this horse straight away. She is never leaving. We felt she was very well put together and sweet natured as well, which is very important to us in our breeding stock.
Sister Sue is by Christmas Tree out of Bridal Falls.
When my partner Mark asked me to find him a few nice brood mares I came across this gorgeous Sabino mare with classic old lines.
Sire: PHAA Holster What A Line
Dam: PHAA Supa Tuff
Best of all she exhibited classic sabino markings, we had her tested for the OLW gene and we are ecstatic that she too is negative.
She is the friendliest girl and is always there to greet us and follow us wherever we go.
Flick is a lovely natured Tobero Mare Mark purchased early in 2009.
She is by Kill for a Smoak (Docs Smokin Oak x Dressed to Kill)
and out of Queen Poco Impresser (Overexposed x Princess Magnolia Honey)
I was really happy with her blood lines as Overexposed is a Grandson of the great Jetalito USA.
It was a photo of Jetalito that set me on my quest to become a Paint Horse Breeder.
She did very well at halter as a youngster but had limited showing due to injury.
Flick is positive for the overo gene so we have bred her to a very special QH stallion for a 2010 surprise..bmp)
